These are just a few of the areas I'm trying to organize APIs into. The industries and areas I use are by no means a fixed thing, they are pretty much a tag, and I can move APIs from one industry to another, and add to multiple groups if I need to.
Some of these industries are derived from what ProgrammableWeb has defined in their API directory, while the rest is based upon patterns I see emerging, or based upon general business definitions.
My goal with this industry section is to make it easy to discover which areas are putting APIs to use, and potentially see patterns or even opportunities within, and across industries.
