Cleanweb Hackathon NYC
The second ever Cleanweb Hackathon is coming to New York City! The hackathon will be hosted at NYU's Tisch ITP on January 21 & 22, with a kickoff and netwoking event on Friday, January 20th.
Check out our site on Hacker League for additional details and event updates, and register there as well as to contribute ideas and join teams. Participants not able to make it to New York may also register on Hacker League to collaborate with a team remotely.
The spirit of the hackathon is to show what you can create in a weekend. Apply web and mobile technologies to resource contraint issues, such as energy, waste, and water problems. For a great overview of what Cleanweb is take a look at this recent presentation by Sunil Paul:http://sunilpaul.posterous.com/slides-from-cleanweb-lecture-at-stanford-gsb. The event starts Saturday morning and there will be a social event Friday evening on the 20th to get to know each other and to help form teams. It's not required but we hope you can make it.
